Playroom

Things are coming together in the house, it's more than livable, but we are constantly adding things to make it nicer and feel more like home.

We were so incredibly blessed to find this home, there are many, many rental (duplex's, homes, apts) in Pella, but all are occupied. It is very difficult to find one, especially one that will fill the need of a growing family:) We love this house! It is the perfect size for us and we feel right at home here!

Each post over the next few weeks will focus on one room of the house that we have set up.

today's post: PLAYROOM

I LOVE the kids playroom. It is in a room very  centrally located in the house so the kids love to play in there while I can get things done (as you know kids like to be where mom is, so the playroom either had to be in my living area or or in a spot where they can enjoy, the toys can stay contained and they can still be next to me).

Our playroom is located off the dining room and opens also into the hallway that leads to the kids bedroom and kitchen and bathroom.

one side of playroom

toy organization with big toys on top (the toys are all in the bins specifically by item- transformers, mr potato head pieces, cars, tools, music bin, etc)

train table (the drawer needs to be fixed)

chalk board and magnet area (the baskets hanging have crayons and chalk in them and the magnet board we got from walmart- it is an oil drip pan)

playroom rules sign I found from Hobby Lobby

pallet bookshelves Greg made

closet with games, crafty stuff and extra stuff

the walls are adorned with the kids artwork

the other side of the playroom has the kids play kitchen on it

We had a blast getting the playroom together for the kids, and the best thing is they play in it all the time!! Well, who wouldn't? It's so fun! And the best part? No toys anywhere else:)
